The last picture I have with my hair cut in anything other than a bob was taken in 2021. For years, my request at the hair stylist has been, "Middle parting, ironed flat down, length at the collar bone, with the ends so straight you could use it as a ruler." 

 

Dark academia is a popular literary subculture that romanticizes higher education, classical literature, and the arts, wrapped in a moody, vintage, and slightly gothic atmosphere. It centers on the pursuit of knowledge, old-world architecture, and a melancholic love for learning. I have an alter ego when I get dressed. She doesn't have a name, but she has a personality: Empress x Diva. The Empress leads the outfit (sophisticated, smart, serious). But the Diva is in the details (a chic accessory, a daring structure, artistic jewelry).
