CO-AUTHORING OPPORTUNITY

An amazing opportunity has come up - not just for me, but for an aspiring author out there. Like all human beings, in the face of large opportunities, I am afraid that they won't work out. That I'm getting too excited, that nobody cares about this as much as I do, that it will all fall flat at the end of the day. I know I'm probably getting ahead of myself and thoughts like these could end in self sabotage.... but like I say, I'm human and they happen involuntarily. I'll have to work on this. For now, all that's left to do is share the great opportunity, and maybe surprise myself with how swiftly it takes off. 

My publishing company, The KREST House, has formed a unique collaboration with Axone Universe, a collaborative writing platform. We are on the search for a talented creative writer to co-author future books with me. While these books will include non-fiction and other genres in the future, our first endeavour is to find a co-author for the next books in the 400 series by Keli H. 

The Four Hundred Club was the first book in the 400 series. It was released onto the commercial market in 2022, and that same year it also won me the award of Best Upcoming Female Author at the national Book Behind Awards. The story revolves around seven successful millennial adults placed into a mansion together to create concept footage for a glamorous reality TV show called The Four Hundred Club. It is a suave character driven fiction with lots of glitz, glamour, and scandal, as the characters all navigate their relationships with each other against the background of opulence. An equally fun and sophisticated read.

The sequel, Splitting an Empire, is going to be the second book in the 400 series, slated for release in July. At the moment the book is out of editing and is with the typesetter, after which we've got to do cover design, proofreading, and printing. We're working speedily. The gist of the latest 400 series story is that the old friends, finally living the lives they've dreamed of, are reunited years after they met on the glamorous reality TV set. The dream is disrupted when one of their own has made the devastating mistake of marrying into a wealthy, influential family she now needs to leave. Life for the group turns into a high stakes game of strategy and quick wit as they go up against one of the most powerful families in the city.

The future of the 400 series is that it is going to be turned into an entire universe, a bulky amount of work which is going to be spearheaded by The KREST House. The first step in creating this universe is sourcing talented writers from around the world (starting with South Africa) to help me co-author the next books in the series. The series is entirely funded by The KREST House, and is leveraged off the authorial reputation and readership I have already established. I just need a writer to help me expedite the manuscripts, who will get equal writing credit and equal royalties. 

I am so incredibly excited that my publishing company has partnered with Axone Universe on the search for the 400 co-author. Axone Universe is an online collaborative writing platform. They will be hosting the 'Co-Author in the 400 Universe' campaign. Writers who wish to be discovered need to sign up to the Axone Universe (it's free!) and join the campaign. The campaign starts on 1 May. All the participants will be given a PDF ebook copy of The Four Hundred Club. It's a short 240 page read. Once you've read the book, you just need to pick your favourite character from it and write your own standalone short story with the character. Anything is acceptable - a short story that parallels the events of the book, one that takes place after the events of the book, or even one that is a prequel to the book. At the end of campaign, the top 2 writers will recieve cash prizes, books, writing mentoring from The KREST House... and the potential opportunity to co-author with me under a fully traditional publishing agreement.
